i find inspiration everywhere
I’ve found inspiration in many different people-including and especially Coach Billy, my son’s basketball coach (seen above). When I see an outstanding demonstration of teaching or coaching I’ll type it in my iphone notes as quickly as I can - a gem that I can learn from and share at an upcoming session that I’m leading. You’ll see other sources of inspiration for Sunny Strategies below. <3
Eric Spoelstra, NBA coach started his coaching career in the film room, honing his observational eye. "As video coordinator, Spoelstra gradually learned the system and provided the coaching staff with exactly what it was looking for -- precise analysis of what was working and not working for the Heat on both ends of the floor. And to do the job the right way, the way he thought it should be done, Spoelstra wound up sleeping in The Dungeon several times a week."
Jeannie Suk Gersen: I can't imagine not doing something that is so important societally, and also intimately. That combination of the systemic effect of discrimination and oppression, along with the intimate difference that it makes in people's lives, is really what draws me to some of the subjects that I study. So it is, overall, an issue of great public importance, and it's an issue of intense private importance for many people.
"She did it, she said, by accepting that not every element of the show would reach everyone. A case in point was the second season's Christmas episode. Brunson was determined to feature DMX's 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' during the scene. 'This is what Christmas at Abbott looks like to me,' she remembered telling network executives, who were skeptical of the expense of licensing the song. 'Maybe that's one time they were over me, because they were like 'girl, let it go.' In the end, 'Rudolph' played in the club. She described how, at a recent press event, one of the guys doing sound came up to her and said 'I love that you put in DMX.' 'Some people watch that episode, they have no idea what that song is,' Brunson said. But she knew that some people did."

Sydney from the Bear: I think this place could be so different from all the other places we've been at. But, in order for that to be true, we need to run things different.
"Steve is our connector," Spoelstra said. "And he just has an amazing superpower to make people feel valued, and also keep perspective that we're going to be very serious and we take this responsibility of representing the United States very seriously. But we can also have a lot of fun on the side." #balance
"Sydney tells me she tries to think of herself as an athlete for only 'so many hours of the day.' It's a lesson she's gleaned in losses, but also in wins. Hide your legend far enough out of sight, and you might just find enough space to surpass it. Hers is a life guided by both devotion and acceptance, and the balance between the two."
