  • PROGRAM LEADERSHIP (TEACHER RESIDENCY) COACHING & CONSULTATION

    Fresh off of launching and leading Avance Residency LA, this service centers on advising Teacher Residency Program Leaders around programming effectiveness, vision alignment, stakeholder investment, and assessing progress toward goals. The coaching and advising occurs on a regular cadence, including observation/feedback & coaching on the program leader's design and facilitation of meetings and learning sessions, as well as, support in the creation of key structures and documents. There is a focus on coaching of program leaders to achieve a balance between adaptive and technical leadership skills and the unpacking of exemplary resources and practices to do so.

  • RESIDENCY MENTOR TEACHER DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT

    Resident teachers spend more than 600 hours with their mentor teachers, making the role & responsibilities of mentor teachers a critical element of success for resident programming. Mentor teacher support requires teacher leader development, instructional leadership development, and teacher development all in one. This service provides Mentor Teachers within a Residency Program with the development and support that they need. This can entail: (1) direct facilitation and support of residency mentor teachers, (2) coaching and consultation for residency program leaders to develop their own mentor teacher programming, or (3) a hybrid of both, in which some modeling and guidance would be provided. Another service option would be to (4) observe a live mentoring learning session, debrief, then adapt the mentor teacher development curriculum for the client's specific context and programming needs.

  • PROGRAM & INITIATIVE DESIGN

    This is an area that I especially excel and enjoy. It entails (1) designing a program alongside stakeholders, (2) leading a design team through a design process, and/or (3) providing a program model for an existing program that needs some alignment and cohesion. Whatever route of service you choose, designing and building capacity of a program that invests stakeholders in a shared vision is an integral component of this service.

  • adult learning & facilitation

    When you already have a program and structure in place but need a dynamic designer and facilitator to lead a learning series for your stakeholders. Or when the initiative that your network just launched needs some additional capacity in the form of adult learning. This service might also be needed when you consider the skill or will gap of your adult learners and stakeholders and want to move forward to bridge the gap. This will also include thought partnering in the learning design to ensure alignment with your organizational vision, priorities, and culture.

  • EMERGING LEADER PROGRAMMING

    I've launched and led multiple emerging leader programming that have looked very different from each other. Depending on your emerging leaders' leadership and learning needs, we can construct programming that includes formalized learning sessions, coaching, and learning cycles for them. "Emerging" connotes leaders who are emerging in their leadership and need some investment in reaching their leadership potential. These could be your best teachers, your network's mid-level managers, your school's instructional leadership team, or assistant principals who are starting off in their leadership journey.

  • CODIFICATION OF PROGRAM MODELS, TALENT FRAMEWORKS AND RUBRICS

    This service takes place within the context of a new program or initiative design so that the frameworks and rubrics you have worked so hard to develop are an actual part of the fabric of programming and development. The heart of this service is to provide a clear vision, specific look-fors, and concrete language that outlines your program model, growth and development benchmarks, stakeholder commitments, and criteria. This could be one tool or a set of tools to use at your fingertips. You may not know what "the thing" is but talking through what you need is a part of this service. This is for when you miss the forest for the trees or the trees for the forest.
